Competition Highlights

American Tour de Sol

Each of the past six years, Hurricane Motor Works has competed in the American Tour de Sol. Organized by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, this event is the world's premier competition and showcase of electric and hybrid-electric vehicles. All of the Big Three auto makers compete in this event as well as some of the nation's most prominent colleges and universities.

In 2003, Hurricane Motor Works' Proxima competed in the American Tour de Sol for the first time. Previously, the Paradyne competed every year from 1998 to 2002.
