Spring semester update

The competition is only 13 weeks away and we are busy making the transition from designing to building as senior projects officially kick off. Currently, meetings are being held Tuesdays at 7 pm and Saturdays at 1 pm in the Mechanical Engineering computer lab in the lower level of Keplinger Hall. Interested parties are still welcome to attend.

TU to compete at Baja SAE Carolina 2010

Our team has succesfully registered for the Baja SAE Carolina competition, which will be held April 8-11 at Clemson University's International Center for Automotive Research (ICAR) in Greenville, South Carolina.

2009-10 season starting

The school year has started and with it comes another round of designing, building, and testing in preparation for the 2010 competition. Our first meeting of the 2009-10 season will take place on Wednesday, September 9, at 6 pm at Hurricane Motor Works (map). Anyone interested in participating is encouraged to attend, regardless of past experience.

Baja SAE Alabama 2009 results in

We faced a strong field of 88 competitors in Alabama but had a good showing nonetheless. We achieved TU's best ever result in the endurance race, completing ten laps and coming in 39th after four hours of muddy chaos. In the other dynamic events, our car placed 24th in acceleration, 61st in maneuverability, and 10th in pulling, for an overall ranking of 59th. We had a lot of fun at the competition and learned many valuable lessons for next year.

TU to compete at Baja SAE Alabama 2009

We will be competing in the Baja SAE Alabama competition in April 2009. The competition will be held at Auburn University's National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) in Opelika, Ala. Check back for more details!
